Item consists of one 16 mm motion picture pertaining to footage of and from the Sulphur Mountain Gondola - including shots from inside the cars, shots of people getting in and out of the cars, and views of the Banff townsite - to be used for an unknown National Film Board project. The reel also contains footage of the installation of a power line between Banff and Lake Louise - mostly consisting of shots from the ground of the helicopter picking up, flying with, and placing the poles. Most of this footage is underexposed.
The original label on the case reads "Banff Gondola Lift 1960, Footage - 110ft B&W NFB, Camera Bruno Ungler NFB, Stringing Power Line, Banff-Lake Louise by Helicopter, Cam. B. Engler."
