Ladies buckskin beaded dress. Fringe all around bottom and a row half way down the skirt. V-shaped inset at sides of skirt is fringed. Back beaded yoke is 31.0x48.0, all beadwork is backed by heavy cotton. Short sleeves have fringe at end, some with black beads. Beadstrip is 42.0x16.0 attached to bodice, open under arms. Two stepped pyramids of red, green, yellow and blue on a white background, 3 blue standards with crosses at top between pyramids. Front yoke blue and yellow beaded bands top and bottom, white background , centre design of 2 irregular shapes in red, green and yellow, flanking them are two stepped diamond shapes in red, blue and yellow, flanking them on both sides of yoke are red chained rectangles. Hanging from bottom of yoke are 11.0 long are green tubular beads from which hang either a bell or a shell. Back yoke is same except the centre design has 4 shapes and bands at top and bottom are different, bottom band is green and white, top is green, white and yellow and there are no shells, just bells hanging.

A bright orange canvas belt that fastens with a natural coloured leather buckle and strap. The buckle is also leather covered. The belt has been used to hold a pin and medal collection, many of which are still attached. Original with the belt and on leather at either end are 'Overseas Mounted Rifles' pin (at buckle) and a crossed sword pin (at strap). Other pins include: one crown with red velvet cap (see #103.09.0059); one square with Laurel Wreath (see #103.09.0064); one 'Edmonton 49th Regiment' (see #103.09.0073); one maple leaf with crown over 'Vancouver 29 Canada'; one maple leaf with crown over 'Edmonton 49 overseas Batallon' and a beaver; one 'R.C.H.A.' A pair of binoculars (a) in a case (b).a) A pair of black leather binoculars with a brass frame and plastic eyepieces. A hinge on the arm at the middle adjusts the lenses to eye width. The focus is adjusted by a large notched plastic wheel on the arm. Further adjustment can be made by twisting the right eyepiece, with a scale reading “_5 0 + 5”. A narrow leather strap is attached to brass eyes on the body of the binoculars On the left side is “Voigtlander & Sohn Braunschweig & London No. 3380”b) The binocular case is tan-coloured leather with a flip top lid that is secured with a strap that buckles through a leather covered buckle on the front. There are leather straps on the back, to secure the case to a belt, and a neckstrap attached to the sides of the case. The case is lined with red velvet and built up inside to fit the binoculars securely. The case bears the handwritten initials “-.H.W.” and a date (1911?).
