- A tan coloured pigskin carrying case with a canvas fabric strap that attaches to metal rings. The case has a flap that folds over the front and closes at the bottom with a strap and buckle. The flap is monogrammed “E.O.” and the haversack is stamped inside with “L.Schobert”.

The base has a screwed on (four screws) metal plate on the heel with another screw tip in the centre coming out to attach the boot and screws and three slits in the wood, toe, instep and heel for leather straps. On (a) there are two straps; instep, a brown strap and heel, an off-white strap. On (b) there is one brown strap, instep. The metal blades are marked “UNION HARDWARE CO. - Early model, solid wooden jumping skis with wide, bevelled tip. Were painted white but have worn and faded to natural, pale coloured wood. Overlapped lancet pattern incised in upper surface of ski for decoration. "E" on topside of ski near tip, side wall of skis has been chiselled out to hold steel plate and leather binding strap. Single groove on base of ski runs from toe plate to end of ski. Canvas boot platform affixed at toe and leather straps are attached to canvas for holding boot to ski. Metal plate under canvas platform is marked from boot heel pressure. Skis minor chipping and scuffing.
