Waistbands lined with cotton, eye closure at waist, "Trade Mark" and crown logo. Double pleats at each side of the front and 3.0 cm belt loops around. Zippered welt pocket at back right hip, and pocket on each side of front. A small black metal loop sewn into pants 2.5 cm below waistband on each side of back. Cloth loop for hanging up sewn inside waistband at back centre. (b ) navy blue with single pocket, 99.0 x 36.6, woman's with side zipper opening. Double pleats on each side of front. Single pocket on right front has small loop pull tab. Four 9.0 cm wide belt loops. 9.5 cm slit at outside bottom of each leg. Double foot straps on each leg cross over each other. Zipper placket facing fastens with two buttons to inside waistband which is lined with blue and white striped fabric. Hem bound with black twill tape. (c) blue black with gold coloured zippers, 103.0 x 39.0, woman's with side zipper opening and small tab which buttons over top. Single pleats at front. Two front pockets have small gold coloured diamond shaped pull tabs at the end of a short chain. No waistband, but four 5.0 cm belt loops, bottoms of legs slightly saddle shaped into wide foot straps. Inner waistband of heavy twill tape with three wide bands of elastic stitching . Snugtex . (d) dull black, 99.0 x 36.5, woman's, with side zipper opening having two buttons inside waistband which fasten to zipper facing. Double pleats at front. Two front pockets zip with small ring tabs at the end of short chains. Four 8.0 cm wide belt loops plus a narrower one to centre back. Bottoms of legs have 10.0 cm pleat opening. Twill tape bound edges, and under foot strap which is doubled on outside to attach to each side of pleat opening. Inner waistband of satiny cotton. Marks, on right pocket, "24 61889".(b) On waistband inside by zipper, "9 1991", and on right pocket many numbers with "8 12608" most prominent tag "8689" (removed). A pair of brown leather, over-ankle, square-toed, unlined ski touring boots, with thick rubber soles (1.30cm on the sole, 2.50cm on the heel), a grooved heel for a cable, and seven grommeted eyelets with yellow and brown laces. There are straps sewn on both sides of the boots; one with a buckle and one with holes; a leather loop pull-off on the back of the heel and boots have felt sole liners. There is a white label with blue lettering on the tongue, right boot “PIONEER by Daoust” (in script). Also on the outside ankles, viewer’s left, left boot (b) and viewer’s right of right boot (a), above the ankle, is the number “9” handwritten in black indelible ink, also written on the tongue “9” on the left boot and above the label on the right boot. On the stitched and nailed soles, near the toe, a “9” is imprinted in the rubber and then circled in black pen ink, and on the heel an imprint of a coniferous tree with SK in the middle and underneath “MADE IN CANADA”.
