An octagonal shaped vase that flares from base to shoulders and then closes in to a straight sided neck. The peaked lid is also octagonal at the base and finished with a finial. There are two squared, geometric handles. The vase is decorated with an ornate floral painted design, dominantly coloured in blue, red and gold. This piece is probably of British manufacture with the design taken from the Orient. The bottom of the vase is marked with an “E”, a crown and a china mark.
