The insert is white foam covered with ridged teal blue cover, a black leather chin strap with metal buckle, inside plastic headband, clear plastic covering, fabric, criss-cross rigging support with cord and heavy-duty nylon strip suspension to create a space between skull and hardhat. A metal zipper attaching (to three quarters of the insert) earflaps outer black plastic inner lined with red and black corduroy. There is a white fabric tag with “M” in red on the inner grey headband and a gold and black oblong label glued on the front with black lettering on a gold-coloured background “Russell Sporting Goods CALGARY”. There is a metal hook (written in scipt “Charlet-Maser”) with a hole in the top and one in the bottom where the rope is looped through. There are remnants of red lettering on the inside the first bar ”ISER AN .032” followed by a star inside a circle.(b) Three metal bars with thick white nylon rope threaded through the holes in the bars and tied in knots. There is a metal hook with a hole in the top through which a thin blue and white nylon cord is looped through and knotted and one in the bottom where white, heavier rope is looped through and then knotted. (c) The third ladder consists of three aluminum bars with white, light nylon rope looped through the holes at either end and tied. Machine engraved on the side of each bar “TRADE, logo, MARK” and underneath “TOP.S. ALPINE EQUIPMENT”.

ALLAIN 1600 Kg” in raised block lettering,“G”, on opposite side in raised lettering, on the other “BREVETTE S G D G”.(b) a metal piton (14.5x3.3cm wide) with the blade, instead of being flat, is positioned slightly sideways; engraved in script on the ‘handle’ portion “Charlet Moser” in block letters “CHAMONIX” . There is a white shop label glued on one side of the blade, in blue lettering “3 7 Premier Cycle & Sports 110 F”.(c) a trowel-shaped vertical piton (11.5x3.0cm), thin flat blade and high raised ‘handle’. This type of knife or blade was very popular in the Rockies. Commonly called the ‘Ace of Spades’. Raised “0” on the blade and “R. CASSIN” on viewer’s right and “ITALY” on the other. an “0” on the top part of the blade.
