- Small square wooden box with inlaid top. Box contains another box within concealed by separate removable side panels on all four sides. Inlay pattern is a series of horizontal strips of dark, light and black woods. The horizontals are interrupted by two rectangles. Upper triangle, 6.4 x 2.5 cm. is inlaid with thin strips of black set diagonally in both directions. The lower triangle, 3.5 x 3.0 cm, is inlaid with twelve light and black wood triangles. A narrow vertical rectangle, 3.2 x .9 cm. of light wood interrupted by thin horizontal strips of black is set to the left of the lower triangle. The four corner support posts are attached to base by small wooden pegs which are visible on bottom.

The rim of the dish is flattened and has an ornate triangular shaped handle at one side and two metal slots sticking out from the other (probably to hold knife). The dish has four triangular legs, in the same design as the handle, that support the dish. The base is decorated with a drawing of a tepee and has the initials “I.B.”. The dish is also marked with “Standard Silver Co. Ltd. Toronto Quadruple Plate 257 Hard White Metal”.

Awarded by the curators of Union college in Schenectady, New York to "Patricius Robb", (handwritten), on August 10, 1856, signed by five professors and the president. In lower left corner is white oval paper seal stamped deeply with the Union College impression. (b) Delphic Society, at top middle, etching of three women in Greek togas, with Greek temple sitting on a high mountains in the background, awarded to "Patricius Robb", and signed by four officers and three members of the society from Union College, dated as (a), with the etched seal of the society printed at bottom.
