- An irregularly shaped vessel with various coloured clays juxtaposed to resemble land formations, sweeping upwards to approximately mid way. Lip is cut away to alter round shape. Also bottom edge is cut away in two places. Composed of 3 stoneware clays and porcelain - laminated, thrown and altered, glazed with a traditional Celedone glaze, fired in reduction cone 9. Post firing sand blasting with silver amalgam added in lamination separations to conclude the work in keeping with historical ceramic traditions.

The current owner is John Peck and official address is 514 Buffalo Street. The second home is white in colour and was built in 1913 by Joseph Bannerman and it’s location in Banff is 602 Buffalo Street. The third home featured on this painting is currently owned by Mr. Blake O’Brian and is located at 214 Muskrat Street, Banff.

- Small round twined basket with rounded base and high sides closing in slightly at the mouth, natural buff colour background with brown design and black accents, design repeated three times around sides is of four brown parallelograms stacked on one another in stairlike fashion moving up to the right, with serrated edges of black-tipped triangles along the sides and narrow black lines between each parallelogram. Between each steplike series on the buff background is an oblique double zig-zag line running from bottom to top of the basket. Lip is finished with three rows of twining of a lighter brown colour, pattern not visible on inside. Paper tag rimmed with metal is attached with cord and wax through lip of basket; no writing is visible.
