- Ink set contained in a round top, trunk shaped container which sits on four, corner ball feet. Rounded top has round knob and is hinged for opening. Either end of container has relief lion's head with rotating ring through jaw. Bottom of box scratched "#251 MT ac", also stamped lion profile hallmark and "7". Interior of box is two chambers divided by flat sterling bar. In either chamber sits a bevelled, square sided glass. Each container has circular, ridged top with 1.0 cm. hole in centre. One of sterling tops is anchored permanently to glass well and has white powder residue inside it, other top is removable and is presumably for holding ink. Card inside box says "Old Sheffield Ink Box made in London. Circa 1810-1815."

A metal pin set with a wide pin bar is inserted into the fold and (b) a grosgrain ribbon in red and white (colours of the Austrian flag) is folded into the shape of a small bow and sewn onto a metal back of a tie-tack style (spike and clutch closure attachment) lapel pin. (a) A grosgrain ribbon in red and white (colours of the Austrian flag) is folded into the shape of a triangle. A metal pin set with a wide pin bar is inserted into the fold. The hinged pin comes through the fabric at the back displaying a barrel-type catch for closing. A silver-coloured metal hook is sewn onto the top part; this hooks through a silver-coloured rivet in the bottom of the folded triangular-shaped ribbon and attaches to a metal ring, which in turn is attached to a ring soldered to the top part of the back of a heraldic gold-coloured stylized eagle, wings outstretched, embossed with ten divisional/regimental shields, one under the head and nine on the tips of the its feathers. There is a second ring soldered onto the bottom back of the eagle, suspended from which is a gold-coloured Maltese cross with webbed design surface and a flat-surfaced Christian cross in the centre.(b) A grosgrain ribbon in red and white (colours of the Austrian flag) is folded into the shape of a small bow and sewn onto a metal back of a tie-tack style (spike and clutch closure attachment) lapel pin. The size is (2.5 wide x 1 width x 1cm deep).The medal and lapel pin are stored in a red-paper covered metal hinged box (black bottom) lined with white satin on the inside cover and white faux velvet on the container part with depressions made for the medal and the lapel pin. Gold script with the jeweller’s particulars “Friedrich Orth Wien seit 1840” is embossed on the inside cover. A heraldic eagle is embossed in gold on the top of the box lid.

(a) The lower half of the photograph is the lake and shoreline and the top half is mountains and sky. The foreground of the lake’s shore is in the shade and mostly dark, except for a bit of green vegetation in the viewer’s extreme left-hand corner and some green bushes bunched together in the lower middle. Some sunlight hits part of the brown-coloured vegetation and logs. There are parts of dark branches of a spruce tree from top to bottom on the viewer’s left; mid-centre the shore juts out and further down, a log with some branches. On the viewer’s right there are heavy green branches, the bottom part in the shade, that form part of a spruce tree from top to bottom. The lake is sunlit from the left with reflections of the mountains in the shimmering water. The shore beyond is lined with trees and the grey mountains, with some snow on the peaks, above and further to the viewer’s right, a glimpse of a glacier. On the viewer’s far right some green vegetation and than a rust-coloured moraine, leading up to a mountain barely discernable through the spruce tree branches. The sky is blue with white, puffy clouds. On the white border, printed in black script, in viewer’s left-hand bottom corner “Bow Lake, Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada”; on the white border, printed in black italics, in viewer’s right-hand bottom corner “Photo Don Harmon” and underneath it “Distributed b Byron Harmon Photos, P.O. Box 490, Banff, Alberta”. On the opposite side of the placemat is a copy of a black-and-white photograph by Byron Harmon of Crowfoot Glacier in 1917. The foreground is branches, vegetation and one large spruce tree, on the viewer’s far right, that rises almost to the top of the photograph. Mid-centre, four packhorses, carrying their diamond-hitch loads, are grazing near two spruce trees. A bank of trees behind the horses rises steadily to the viewer’s right and the giant Crowfoot Glacier, with three complete ‘toes’, to the viewer’s right and one incomplete ‘toe’ on the left, makes up the top-half, except for a bit of sky, mid-to-far left. On the white border, in viewer’s left-hand bottom corner, printed in black lettering, is “Crowfoot Glacier 1917” and on the right-hand bottom corner “Photo B. The outside edge of the placemat has 16 brown-framed boxes with pictures and the printed name of the following flowers: starting from viewer’s left top, clockwise: “Blue Flax”, “Yellow Vetch”, “Indian Paintbrush”, ”Pink Pussy Toes”, “Buffalo Berry”, “Heart-Leaf Arnica”, “Hare Bells”, “Tiger Lily”, “Sagebrush Buttercup”, “Wood Violet”, “Crocus”, “American Vetch” , “Strawberry”, “Yellow Columbine” , and “Fire Weed”. On the other other side of (b) (30.0x44.20cm wide), the photo is dominated by a summer view of Lake Louise, the Victoria Glacier behind, and the front lawn and swimming pool of Chateau Lake Louise. The foreground is made up, on viewer’s left, of: lawn and walkway, fence and lake walkway, three people walking, one person standing, one person sitting at a table, three spruce trees, three horses with riders, and red, yellow and white poppies. In the foreground, on viewer’s middle and right, are two more horses with riders, three people on the walkway, two people sitting on chairs at a table, more poppies, spruce trees and a white roofless structure, with openings all around, that surrounds a swimming pool with people, one diving in midair. The middle of the scene is the turquoise-blue waters of Lake Louise, with the reflection of Victoria Glacier, and a canoe with two people in it. The rest of the scene is mountains in shade on the viewer’s left, the sunlit Victoria Glacier in the middle, and wooded mountains to the right. The sky is a deep blue. - A plastic container with a white paper lid surrounded by black plastic. There is a small round hole in the centre of the paper lid. On the front is black lettering (outlined in black) “ALBERTA CENTENNIAL MOUNTAIN EXPEDITION”. There is a black line simulating mountains over the writing, and the sole of a boot, viewer’s left with “AC” printed, then a simulated mountain with “2005” and on the heel of the sole an “E”. On the bottom of the container there is a raised triangle with a “2” in the middle, underneath that, “PRETIUM”, and underneath that , viewer’s right “16”.

- 5 piece heavy weight silver plated tea set consisting of a serving tray, tea pot, sugar bowl, creamer, and bowl. All pieces have the script-style “C.P.R.” monogram engraved. While all pieces were manufactured by Elkington belonging together as a set, they do contain different maker’s marks. George Richards Elkington was a manufacturer from Birmingham and is credited as the first person to patent the first commercial electroplating process.(a) A large oval-shaped serving tray engraved in early script with “C.P.R.” along the top edge. Also engraved in the same style of writing are the words “For “Willie” Morant from the staff of Canadian Pacific Corporate Archives 1 June 1981.” On rear the number “8960” has been stamped with a shield logo below that contains the letters “E & Co,” which is representative of the name Elkington. Below the shield logo are three separate hallmark; the first is “C” followed by “&” and “Co”. Below this in protruding letters is the name of the manufacturer “ELKINGTON” “PLATE” each blocked off in its own box. “A.T. WILEY Coy LIMITED MONTREAL” is inscribed. (b) Tea pot with an oval shape body and hinged lid. On the front of the teapot the “CPR” monogram has been engraved. On the teapots bottom there is the number “15167”with a shield logo below that contains the letters “E & Co.” Below the shield logo are three separate hallmarks; “C” followed by “&” and “Co”. Below this in protruding letters is the name of the manufacturer “ELKINGTON” “PLATE” each blocked off in its own box. There is also the letter “T” inside of a (c) The round, double handed sugar bowl has a hinged lid. On the front of the teapot the “CPR” monogram has been engraved. On the bottom of the sugar bowl the number “1” has been engraved inside of a circle. Beneath this are a series of numbers “15167.” A shield logo with the “&” is present above the letters “C,” “E & Co” and “Co.” “U” “46” also has been marked. “Elkington & Co” is engraved below. “A. T. WILEY Coy LIMITED” “MONTREAL” is engraved at the very bottom. (d) The round, cream pitcher has a hinged lid. The stamped marks on the bottom are as follows: "15167” followed by “&,” “E & Co.” (in a shield logo), “Co” “U.” Below this the manufacturer name reads: “Elkington & Co” is engraved below these marks. Following this is the location of manufacturing: “A. T. WILEY Coy LIMITED” “MONTREAL” is engraved at the very bottom.
