Wooden frame with painted plaster decoration, arch has Alpine Club logo and "SIC ITUR AD ASTRA", elaborate, curlicue border 10.5 wide frames inscription, gold lettering on blue: "To the memory of the members of the AC of C who died on active service, 1914-1918. Their name liveth for evermore" with a list of 12 names and their rank and regiment, back has brown paper backing, centre top pasted on label "The Roberts Art Gallery Dealers & Importers of Fine Art, est.1842 729 Yonge St.
