Three French Canadian carved figures in wood, hand painted. (b) a bent backed, bowlegged older man, wearing brown pants, black jacket over red vest and white shirt with black tie, a black toque on his head, black shoes, a sour expression on his face. (c) a rotund older woman wearing brown dress with full skirt, black hemmed, a calf-length apron of black with blue and red vertical stripes, a white blouse visible at the bodice, and a necklace of roses. She is white haired, hair tied in a bun, and has a smiling expression, arms crossed. All are cut in deft, sure, simple wood carver's strokes, are caricatured slightly, and are strongly painted.

Sides extend up at the back, with a solid wood back, enclosing two shelves for dishes with fiddles at front to prevent dishes from falling off, long, shaped wooden crest along top, shaped apron at bottom between short legs. Round wooden knob on door. Held together with small wooden pegs and glue. Door hinged in old manner by means of a dowel through the top and bottom edges, then through the wood above and below the door.
