"T" opening for neck outlined with very pale blue beads, rawhide strips sewn onto top front opening with rawhide strip 34.0 long laced through for tie. Two pieces of string tied 3.0 from opening on shoulder to hold together when worn. Another band of beads at centre front and back 45.0 x 6.0 with 2 bands of light mauve beads, attached to bottom are 2 strings of short tube beads, dark blue on ends, others amber, each with a small brass bell at the bottom, some bells missing. Edges bound with cotton with narrow rawhide ties under arms.

(a) blue and white, 54.0x2.0, narrow strap of blue and white beads in a zigzag pattern, joined together at bottom and ending with four long strands of blue and white fringe. (b) Blue and white with buckskin tassel, 45.0x.8, strap at edges with white zigzag line between. Ends joined together with fringed buckskin tassel. (c) Blue and light blue, 48.0x1.0, strap as (b) but half zigzag blue and half light blue along length. Ends knotted at bottom extend below knot and end in chain link fringe of light and blue. (d) black and white, 49.0x.8, knotted as (c) but patterned as (b), white inside. (e) light blue and orange, 38.3x.7, single strand of six light blue beads between an oval shape composed of bright orange beads. Description
A fireplace bellows with each side made from wood cut in a tear shape. There are two flat rectangular handles cut at the blunt end and the pointed end has a long, tapering, protruding metal tube. A leather diaphragm between the two sides is tacked along the edges of the wood and pleated over two small round branches bent to follow shape of wooden sides. There is leather strapping on one side of the wood at the pointed end as reinforcement. A round hole is cut in the middle of other side of wood, and fitted with a metal collar, and has a leather disphragm inside for air intake.
