A matched cup and saucer with a wide dark band inside the rim of the cup and on the saucer. Six vine-like scrolls are spaced evenly around the inside and outside of the cup, and also on the rim of the saucer. The middle of the cup depression and the bottom of the cup are both decorated with a circle drawn around a scrollwork medallion. The cup has a narrow base flaring out to the mouth, and a slightly scrolled loop handle attached at one side. Both pieces are marked “Royal Grafton, Fine Bone China”, and “Made in England”. The cup is also marked with the number “#1564”.

A light brown, grained leather, rectangular, jewellery box with strap handle on top, and square latch plate on front. Initials "C.R." embossed in gold on top of lid. Large, rectangular, brass plate on front with keyhole (key missing), and vertical levers on each side which pinch together to release latch. Lid swings up and is hinged along back. Interior divided into three compartments, the outer two having shallow trays at the top which lift and swing over to the sides on brass hinges. Each tray divided into three sections, the central one narrow and built up with lining fabric to form a deep slot down its length. Lined with moire in the lid, and beige velvet inside all compartments. Embossed in gold on base: trade mark containing eagle’s head (?) and “mark/Cross/England”
