Description: A collection of 17 various caps used to conceal the rough ends of dowels on which scrolls are rolled. 10 smooth, polished, cylindrical pieces of ivory, roughly hollowed with small inset lip at one end to accommodate dowel, some with hairline cracks. 7 smoothly finished wooden caps, one black painted wooden peg.

Flatware Tray

Description: A shaped wooden box with a hinged veneered cover. The box rests on small ball feet. The lid is bevelled to accommodate varying heights of knives. There is a keyhole at the front, near the top, of the box (key missing). A small sterling silver plaque beneath the keyhole is monogrammed “E.L.”.
