They have been cut from a magazine and are equipped with accessories. These are, an elaborate wicker baby carriage, two pieces of luggage, two dogs, a wash basin, baby's crib, doll carriage and golf bag with clubs. The young man has five costumes. A riding suit, a tuxedo, a grey three piece suit, overcoat, and casual blue jacket with white pants, shoes and shirt. The baby has two little dresses. The young girl has seven hats, six dresses and a coat with muff. There are also four hats belonging to the young man.

A needlepoint sampler, in many colours, done in cross-stitch on loosely woven ecru linen. The sampler has a double-stitched border with stitched bars between each row of letters (A-Z) beginning with capital letters, followed by numerals from 1 to 10, then lower case letters (a-z), then numerals from 1 to 6, then large capital letters (A-F), and ending with “Serena Matilda Potts 1822.” The piece was originally framed in a simple brown wood frame with a parallel line (wood grain?) texture. The paper backing has “Serena Potts’ work born 1812” handwritten and a “Royal Picture Gallery” (Calgary, Alberta) framer’s sticker.

The sampler has a narrow double-stitched border with a floral band at the top followed by rows of letters of the alphabet separated by horizontal bars. Most of the letters are worked twice together through the alphabet repeating from A to D at the end, followed by another floral band as at the top, and then “Susanah Lehman November the 3 1796.” The sampler was originally framed in a simple brown wood frame with parallel line texture (wood grain?) and has a framer’s sticker on the back “The Royal Art Gallery” (Calgary, Alberta).

A tableware set consisting of a gravy boat and saucer (a,b), a platter (c), a butter dish with cover (d), and six dessert plates (e-j).
