Sole is white felt (1 cm. thick) a thick red shoe lace fits through one hole on each side of closure. Laces have a wooden piece on one end only. Boots are lined with white felt. Insoles are a heavy woven material.

An ankle-to-knee gaiter, one piece of material sewn together, six brass-coloured grommets on one side, six silver-coloured metal hooks with individual leather backing, on the other side, with another two grommets at the top, and a braided heavy-duty nylon lace for tightening and securing the gaiter to the calf. One gaiter has blue, waterproof patches sewn around both top grommets with green thread, also has one blue patch sewn with green thread on the outside and one on the inside; the manufacturer’s “Recreational Equipment INC. 1525 11th Avenue Seattle, Wash. 98122” label is secured on one side only. - A pair of very long, brown varnished wood, jumping skis with metal bindings. Skis are thicker at the centre, tapering toward the tail and the tip which curves upward slightly and is carved into a lancet arch with a small protrusion at the point. Bottom of each ski has three tracking grooves, top has faint incised lines following the edges of the ski and forming an arch within the arch of the tip. Metal bindings consist of a large metal plate with toe brackets which secure boot by means of a thick leather strap which buckles over boot. A.L.&W. Mikro Skirite, Toronto , a small metal bracket with four slots for adjusting ski cable in front if large plate. "Kandahar" Made in Switzerland), a small bracket on either side of the middle edge of the ski with two hooks for the cable. Two large round holes joined by a slot which pass through the ski from one side to the other just beneath the large metal plate, have been plugged with wood and mastic of some sort. Note: a series of drilled holes approximately 12 cm. long are in front of the small cable adjusting bracket.
