- A pair of brownish grey, fine wool tweed knickers with zipped fly front, slash pockets in the side seams, a pocket on each hip, and bands at the bottom of each leg at the knee. Waistband has 8.0 cm wide loops for belts, and closes at front with heavy metal hook, "Brit & For. patents". Yoke across back forms hip pockets, the right closing with a buttoned tab, the left with a buttoned V-shaped flap. Seat of pants is reinforced with doubled piece of material. Band at knee fastened around leg on outside with a long tab secured inside the casing of the band with a piece of elastic. Tab fastens with velcro strips, a field of minute plastic hooks which secure into an opposite field of loops. Lining of waistband, pockets and crotch of a white nylon ?, open weave fabric.
