Description
A well-made green canvas rucksack with leather straps and metal buckles. It has a drawstring closure with metal grommets through which a woven cord is passed through and tied. The flap is a separate piece of canvas sewn onto the sack which is darted and rounded to fit neatly over the top of the pack. A leather strap is attached to the flap by two rivets stamped with the words “WIDE STEEL SHANK” (Note: all rivets mentioned have this lettering). The main sack/bag has a white label sewn onto the top bearing the trademark “A & F” in red thread and “Abercrombie & Fitch Co.” in blue, underneath this “NEW YORK”. Underneath the label the word “MILLS” is hand printed in black indelible ink. There are two flapped pockets attached to the front of the bag; each flap has a leather strap attached to it by one rivet. The pocket has a metal buckle attached to the flap by piece of folded leather attached by two rivets. Between the pockets is another metal buckle attached by piece of folded leather and two rivets. On the back of the bag there is a piece of leather sewn onto the top and two straps for arms to go through; each strap is attached by two rivets; 5cm from the bottom and 3.5cm from each side there are two pieces of green corded material 6.5x2w cm folded over and sewn with green thread in an X-shaped pattern. On the bottom sides of the pack there are two folded pieces of leather, through which a metal ring is inserted, attached by two rivets. A metal push clip that hooks through the ring has a folded leather piece held together by one rivet. Through these two folds the buckle and the clip are attached.

Description
A circular Alpine Club Mountain Guide pin with a forest-green, enamel maple leaf centred on the pin face, edged in silver and with the letters “ACMG” in silver. The outer rim of the pin is a coiled climbing rope encircling it three times; at the bottom is a red enamel curved bar edged in silver with “MOUNTAIN” on top and “GUIDE” below in silver. The stylized cut-out maple leaf has a flat one-dimensional pair of skis crossed with an ice axe underneath. Both extend onto the coiled rope rim. Stamped on the back of the pin at the centre and under the pin set is the number “27” and something indecipherable beneath. There is one horizontal long-hinged pin soldered on the back that is rivetted at one end and fastens at the other end (bottom) with a swivel-locking safety clasp.

Two identical mountain guide pins except one is smaller. The smaller one measures 1 7/8 c. in diameter and is 1 cm. high. The circular pins have a centred stylized maple leaf in silver with a red outline and black lettering “ACMG” in the middle. The maple leaf sits on top of a crossed ice axe (lhs) and (rhs) a crossed pair of ski tips. The top and bottom of the skis and ice axe meet a coiled rope wound around three times on the outside rim of the pin, on top of which “ASSOCIATION OF CANADIAN MOUNTAIN GUIDES” is printed. The larger pin (a) has a horizontal hinged pin soldered to the top of the back side. This pin has a swivel-locking safety catch. A two-piece army-green oxygen mask:(a) The outer metal and fabric portion ((8.5 x10.0 wide x10.5cm high) is molded to fit over the rubber mouth and nose piece. It has strong nylon strips of cording rivetted and screwed onto the metal frame. The cords are adjustable. There is a silver label glued to the inside, viewer’s left with black printing “ADAPTER 7 HARNESS ASSY. Medium P-N 33D1102-2 Protection Inc. P-N D4152 Contract No. N383-857981A U.S.”(b) the silicone rubber nose and face portion (60.0 with hose x12.0cm wide x13.0 high) with the air hose is molded to fit over the lower half of a face; there is a length of rubber hosing attached to the this by a metal clamp. The end of the hose has a green metal clamp attaching a stainless steel portion that will secure it to the oxygen bottle. There is a segmented circle imprinted on the viewer’s right side with “80 81 82” clockwise and to the right of that “SILICONE”. Imprinted viewer’s left “MASK. OXYGEN. PRESSURE BREATHING MS. 2200-MEDIUM SIERRA ENG. CO. PN 520- -1”.
