Japanese, large articulated changing doll, woman, fully clothed. Face, feet and hands made of plaster, body and legs of plastered wood, articulated at neck, elbows, hips, knees and ankles. Elbows to shoulders cloth covered wire for easy movements. Inset, open grey eyes, red lips open slightly to show white teeth. Fancy hairdo with one blue and one red tie dyed scarf, hair inset into head. Silver ornament stuck into hairdo at front. A paper band is glued around her waist with Japanese writing: "Dollmaker - Eitoku-sai of Kyoto; Tokyo, Nihon-Bashi-Doli 10 store shops. Doll has sewn red silk long-sleeved underwear. Collar decorated with tie-dyed silk sewn on. Outerwear: double-sewn: outside, long-sleeved autumn flowers and red maple leaves. Basting stitches never removed. Red tie-dyed sash 104.0 x 6.5.

Door hinged in old manner by means of a dowel through the top and bottom edges, then through the wood above and below the door.
