- A decorative martingale for a horse in parade. Heavily beaded, it broadly forms an "H" of two strips with geometric figures on them, and a cross bar with a floral emblem on it. The vertical strips have buckskin ties at the tops, and are white with various triangles and diamonds, principally in vermilion with green and blue borders, gonfalon lower ends. The centre panel is almost square and is a very pale blue ground with a conventional flower made up of circles upon it in deep green and blood red, plus four leaves of light green. Below the panel is a fringe of light buckskin, running from strut to strut.

There are thong ties at both sides of the neck opening. The front of the dress yoke has three beaded diamonds, backed with fabric and sewn to the dress. The front of the dress also has two beaded medallions with dewclaw and bead tassels. Soft white buckskin with beaded panels of white background with design of orange diamond flanked by large swallow tail shapes outlined in black, alternated with design of two orange three pointed crowns joined by a blue bar and outlined in blue. (a) shirt, 59.0 x 48.0, tunic style with long sleeves, slit opening at front of neck with buckskin tie, fringes along top half of sleeves and over the shoulder extending part way down front and back, and three buckskin ties along side openings. Bead strips with above alternating designs sewn along length of sleeves, and in bands over shoulders extending down front and back of shirt. Bottom of sleeves have been slit into short fringes leggings, 70.0 x 30.0, tube like leggings, two separate, with wide flap extending out at sides and laced along length of open outer side with short double buckskin ties which pass through two small holes cut through legging at five places along its length thus fastening the front and back into a tube around the leg. Bead strip is sewn to outer edge along length of each legging. Long buckskin strip for attaching to belt is fastened at top corners. (d) belt, 81.0 x 6.3, beaded band of above alternating pattern lined with white flowered aqua cotton flannel, has notched buckskin band at each end with single buckskin thong at each end for tying. (e,f) gloves, 33.7 x 18.8, fringed at outside of gauntlets with heavily beaded front panel of gauntlet containing one large single orange diamond flanked by red swallow tail shapes on each. Gauntlets lined with white cotton broadcloth, reinforced with machine stitching around thumb gore and fingers.

Both worn from use and dirty.h) Headband (38.5 x 4.6 cm) with canvas backing and red and yellow dyed feathers attached. There is a 23.0 cm long thong tie attached to one end.i) Belt (90.7 x 5.0 cm) with thong ties (approx. 28.0 cm long) with a rectangular (12.0 x 14.6 cm) beaded patch attached to one end (like a buckle).j) Bag (36.0 x 27.5 cm) with one fully beaded side and two loop handles, one for carrying and one to hang bag from shoulder. The bottom edge of the bag has long fringe (27.0 cm). There are patches of dirt on the beads.

The beading is canvas backed and separating from body of dress. The undersides of the sleeves are open. Beaded yoke has fringe of beads, shells and metal bells. b,c) Leggings or cuffs (36.5 x 27.0 cm) in trapezoid shape with four ties on each of the angled edges. Both are fully beaded and backed with canvas. Some beads are loose or missing along edges. Dirt spots on beading. d,e) Gloves (33.0 x 18.8 cm) with fringe (16.0 cm) along the bottom edges. Gauntlets beaded and lined with printed fabric. Beading on both coming loose (row of approx. 23 beads missing on (d)). Hide on gloves soiled and worn from use - two holes in middle finger (d). f,g) Moccasins, heavily beaded with high tops, (24.5 x 21.6 x 8.2 cm) with heavily soiled and worn soles. Soles have been patched.h) Belt (76.6 x 6.0 cm) with no ties. The belt is backed with canvas and has a 10.0 cm section with no beading at one end.i) Headband (26.3 x 9.8 cm; 52.5 cm circumference) with two points along top edge. Stitched together at the back - no elastic.
