ALLAIN 1600 Kg” in raised block lettering,“G”, on opposite side in raised lettering, on the other “BREVETTE S G D G”.(b) a metal piton (14.5x3.3cm wide) with the blade, instead of being flat, is positioned slightly sideways; engraved in script on the ‘handle’ portion “Charlet Moser” in block letters “CHAMONIX” . There is a white shop label glued on one side of the blade, in blue lettering “3 7 Premier Cycle & Sports 110 F”.(c) a trowel-shaped vertical piton (11.5x3.0cm), thin flat blade and high raised ‘handle’. This type of knife or blade was very popular in the Rockies. Commonly called the ‘Ace of Spades’. Raised “0” on the blade and “R. CASSIN” on viewer’s right and “ITALY” on the other. an “0” on the top part of the blade. Remnants of a piece of tape “1/74” indiscernable.(d) a hand-forged horizontal piton with a flat blade at one end and raised ‘handle’ at the other with a round hole to put a carabiner through. ‘LOST”, the diamond-shaped logo, “ARROW”.

Typical ice axe, well used, pointed pick, curved adze and pointed slightly curved spike with serated (4) blade and two long metal strips extending 11 cm. from head (blade) riveted to the wooden shaft, two rivets to each side. There is a round hole in the bottom of the axe head where it fits onto the wooden shaft. Neatly carved into the wooden shaft 1.50 cm from the head are the words “MT. COOK” and underneath 12349 and at 2.5 cm. there is an “EM” scored in the wooden shaft. Engraved on pick blade: "J. Charlet a Chamonix” and to the left of this is an ibex logo. On the metal tube that extends from the wooden shaft there is a copper-coloured vertical line (might be a solder line).

Description
A circular Alpine Club Mountain Guide pin with a forest-green, enamel maple leaf centred on the pin face, edged in silver and with the letters “ACMG” in silver. The outer rim of the pin is a coiled climbing rope encircling it three times; at the bottom is a red enamel curved bar edged in silver with “MOUNTAIN” on top and “GUIDE” below in silver. The stylized cut-out maple leaf has a flat one-dimensional pair of skis crossed with an ice axe underneath. Both extend onto the coiled rope rim. Stamped on the back of the pin at the centre and under the pin set is the number “27” and something indecipherable beneath. There is one horizontal long-hinged pin soldered on the back that is rivetted at one end and fastens at the other end (bottom) with a swivel-locking safety clasp.
