Blade guard, cast of brass with raised curlicue design, turns upward at sides, handle tip of cast brass with similar design and small lug with hole through at one side Note: blade guard loose; wooden handle cracked along length; blade pitted. (b) scabbard, narrow and straight, made of two pieces of wood held together by two rings of heavy cast brass with raised floral motifs, becoming oval medallions on one side with cast relief of dragon like figures. Cast brass bands at mouth and tip repeat dragon floral motif of other two bands and have floral motif cut through exposing pebbly stone inlay in wood. - Description
- Simple stick figurine of a pack horse with a diamond hitch pack. Body formed from a small log, four nails serve as the legs, the 4cm. long neck is a nail bored through the head which is made from a twig section 3.5 x 1 cm. diam. Two eyes represented by two small nails, two ears are also two small nails. The bark from the twig has been shaved at the bottom of the head to suggest the muzzle, an indentation is cut into bottom of head to accommodate the string bridal. The string rein is attached to top of the bulging pack which is fastened with a triple diamond hitch. Two small blocks of wood pack boxes are nailed to the body, one on either side. These blocks are concealed by an unbleached cotton tarp, cotton is stuffed, and bulges unevenly over the securing string. Cinch is fashioned from a piece of insulated copper wire. Strand of thick string nailed to rear for tail. Abrand has been burned into left front: "M" ("M" standing on rocking arch).

Lightly beaded on front with single flower at centre with many petals outlined in blue black, and petals filled in with blue black and white seed beads. Four white stems and outlined black leaves curve from the blossom towards the corners of the purse. An alternately beaded white and black stem rises from the top of the blossom with a white and black trifoliate mass at the top, and two alternately beaded white and black bird's legs support the blossom at the bottom. The mouth of the purse is trimmed with white and black beads, as well as a small pointed tab with a buttonhole slit which is sewn to the middle of the back opening. The back of the purse is two pieces of buckskin patched together.
