- Description
- A set of bead strip accessories for regalia, all of beaded canvas with white background containing a singular complex diamond motif with green central diamond outlined in orange with red bars from the sides and orange barred triangles and red bars from the top and bottom points. These are alternated with a motif of two blue diamonds outlined in green hanging from a red bar, and two more diamonds standing atop the bar. Each strip is edged with a narrow red band. (a) long strip (79.0 x 8.8) contains three orange motifs (possibly legging or shoulder strip), lined with muslin. (b) cravat and collar (25.0 x 20.0) wide cravat contains single orange motif, with smaller orange motif at centre and ends of pointed collar which is attached to cravat on one end, and ties to cravat with thong at other side, lined with muslin. (c,d) 2 short strips (33.4 x 7.5) single orange motif at centre flanked by blue diamond motif, at one end of each strip are small red bars fringing the red border, lined with muslin. (e,f) 2 short (30.0 x 8.8) single orange motif at centre with complete blue diamond motif at one end, and half this same motif at the other (the two pieces may at one time have been joined together at this point into a single long strip). One end of each strip cut at an angle with a series of short red bars edging rather than the red band. (g,h) 2 gauntlet shaped pieces (19.5 x 29.0) - single large orange motif at centre flanked by small blue diamond motifs; a line of red bars runs along each side, and a series of small green triangles outlined in red hang from the red border at the slightly curved top. (i) large H-shaped piece (72.0 x 28.5) made up of two long strips with square panel between; fringed at bottom of square panel and at bottoms of strips with slashed white buckskin fringe. Long notched buckskin strap at top, and two buckskin thongs sewn to each side at the middle. Single large orange motif in central square. Strips on side each contain three orange motifs with the blue diamond motif between and half the blue motif at each end (probably part of caparison for pony).
