He is sitting on the floor, yoga position, open hands, extended. Items for sale: 1 big woven chicken coop, 2 medium sized chicken coops, 1 big woven basket with one end open for chaffiing, 1 medium sized flat sparrow coop, 3 smaller flat sparrow coops, several carrying baskets, sieves of various gratings, various wooden dustpans, 1 fish basket, 3 hand brushes, scrub brushes. The shopkeeper was probably a basket weaver as well.

Flag, 92.1 x 1.5w, on top of flagpole reads "Dedication..."translated from Chinese. Guardhouse is rectangular, 2.21 x 2.8w x 3.2h, with two windows located on the back wall, 0.4w x 0.3h, and one window, 0.5 x 0.4h, located on each side wall. Front of guardhouse is partially open with a door opening center front, 1.0w x 3.0h, and two windows, 0.9w x 1.81, one on each side of door with one lantern hung at top of each. Below windows are half walls, 0.9w x 1.81h, partially enclosing front. Inside of guardhouse is gold coloured with a gold coloured man to the right and a gold coloured alter located against center back wall with Chinese poem inscribed into wall above alter. Two doors are located on back wall with one each side of alter.

- Rough sketch of the 1949 Christmas card. Scene depicts what looks like Norquay in the background, their home, and animals coming to and from the cabin. There is a rabbit watching the animals visiting and leaving the house, and a figure is slipping in a chair by the chimney stack. On the top edge “SEASONS GREETINGS 1949” and on the bottom edge “CATHARINE AND PETER,” and “Peter Whyte” can be read. Near the TLC different dimensions are written out: “4 3/8 x 6 3/4” (above 6 3/4 there is a faint 6/8 written), “2 4 1/2 3 3/8,” “4 3/8 x 1 1/2.”verso: there is another rough sketch of the same scene seen on the the front side of the paper. In this image though there is no mountains in the background or the tree in front of the house.
