(a) pearls along length, 3.1x.6x.3, plain rectangular bar with fifteen tiny cultured seed pearls, .2 cm dia. set side by side in a groove down the middle with small melted beads of gold holding them in place. (b) single pearl, 2.4x .5 x .4 , small rounded tapered ellipse of gold with tiny seed pearl , .2 cm dia set into bevelled hole at centre, hollow. Stamped on back "14k" and torch hallmark. (c) same as (b) without pearl, 1.9 x .4 x .2, die struck. Hook clasp has double legs but joined by its curve into single hook. Period 1890 - 1915. (d) same as (c) but flat with border, 2.0 x .4 x .3, plain with small, gold, 14k, machine stamped, bead edging completely around outside. - Two necklaces of beads of amber. Beads vary in colour from light to dark. (a) with macrame, large, angular, irregular, faceted beads, strung on gold coloured cord which is knotted between series of the beads. Large, 1.9 cm dia. bead hangs from bottom of necklace with large, flat, woven, square knot of the gold cord with three loops around the sides, hanging below. 5.0 cm from middle, on each side is flat, knotted oval of macrame separated by a series of different sized beads. Natural crackle of resin can be seen (b) with carved pendant, long strand of uniform, round, small amber beads, at bottom 2.1 x 2.5 cm trapezoidal pendant of opaque amber is hung supported by triangular ,metal armature in back. Inlaid in 1.4 cm circle in front of pendant is orange, glassy piece of amber ? which is carved with tiny square-rigged schooner and the words, "Viel Gluck". Six extra beads found loose and threaded on loop tied to necklace.

- Windsor captain's (or smoker's bow) chair in a dark stained wood. Arms are formed by a continuous piece of wood, backrest above arms sits on five wooden spindles, 4.5 cm. high, each alternating with one of four metal rods. Backrest curves gently upward and is 45.0 cm. wide and 10.5 cm. high, ten 24 cm. high wooden spindles join armrest to chair seat. A metal rod is screwed into each side of armrest and fastened by a square nut on bottom side of seat to give greater support. Seat is saddle shape. The four turned legs are joined by two stretchers on each side. Two front legs are spool-shaped while back legs are plain. Two flat headed rods cross diagonally and are fastened to legs by square nut on one end. Metal rods are also used as reinforcements between seat and top stretcher on either side of chair. Note: A 3 cm. gap between planks on seat reveals tongue and groove technique for joining.
