History / Biographical: Frank W. Freeborn was an original member of the Alpine Club of Canada.

Scope & Content: Photograph albums mainly document Alpine Club of Canada camps in the Rocky and Selkirk Mountains between 1906 and 1914. Included are photographs of camp sites, activities, participants, operations and mountaineering in the areas of Selkirk Mountains, Glacier area and Rogers Pass, Yoho Valley, Consolation Valley, Paradise Valley, Sherbrooke Lake, Cathedral Mountain, Vermilion Pass and Mount Robson area. Content pertains to the Woodworth family house in Banff [ca. 1900], holiday greetings from family friends, a snowshoe race on the Bow River [1912], "wagoneer" Jim Stewart with a government water wagon, Joe Woodworth and Jo Wardell with family on a trip to Oakville, Ontario, Maud Woodworth Kidney as a teenager and ca. 1970 with her son Jack, a lunch party, a Christmas party, events hosted by the Imperial Order Daughters of the Empire and the Order of the Eastern Star, a community play from 1911, the first CPR Depot [1908], ski jumping in Banff, the Banff Royal Canadian Legion war memorial cenotaph, and other community events involving the Kidney family.
