A narrow leather strap is attached to brass eyes on the body of the binoculars On the left side is “Voigtlander & Sohn Braunschweig & London No. 3380”b) The binocular case is tan-coloured leather with a flip top lid that is secured with a strap that buckles through a leather covered buckle on the front. There are leather straps on the back, to secure the case to a belt, and a neckstrap attached to the sides of the case. The case is lined with red velvet and built up inside to fit the binoculars securely. The case bears the handwritten initials “-.H.W.” and a date (1911?).
