The vegetation is indicated by green and blue patterns towards mountain tops. Michaelle McLean and Ellen Eyman were students at the Banff Centre 1976/77 winter programme. Parks Canada project Parks Awareness provided salary and material for these two to do a number of prints of the Park for Parks Canada. All the work was done at the Banff Centre.

The concept and design was by Jon Whyte; the printing was done by Sue Nash and Virginia Lemieux at the Banff Centre Print Shop, both were students in Banff Centre programme.

- Circular drawing with the North American continent drawn inside with blue coloured pencil filling in the major bodies of water. A ring is drawn around the circle with the words “NORTH AMERICAN SKI CHAMPIONSHIPS” written inside it. Behind the circular shape there are two skis crossed behind it, with the front of them at the top, and the ends and the bottom. Written in pencil in the TLC and TRC “UP TURN” and an arrow pointing at the skis, and in the BLC and BRC “FLAT” with an arrow pointing at the end of the skis. There is a distinct dot in the middle of the board, and lines drawn out finding the absolute centre of the board and image.
