Some maps of reserves contain personal annotations and highlighted/coloured routes; none of German maps are annotated. File also contains set of 4 rag paper mounts, annotated. 3 naming artist Walter Wilcox (likely formerly held his works but are now blank). One labelled 'Model'.

- Maps were originally stored together in one poster tube labelled: "MAPS OF GERMANY INDIA See notes inside" Shipping label: PLS HOLD Armand To Nicholas Morant 222 Melville Ave Westmount Montreal" (with two 3 - cent stamps attached) Note inside, written by Nicholas Morant: "These maps were among those issued to Capt. Tim Ffrench (?) preparatory to intelligence work done during W. War II" Signed "Nick M." Wilcox mounts were stored in brown paper packaging with several other blank mounts (disposed of). Labelled section of original paper packaging has been stored with mounts in oversize box for reference.

Sibajak in early September via the Suez Canal, descriptions of their cabin and the ship itself, life and activities aboard ship, comments and observations about other passengers, day trips on land along the way, going through the Canal, arriving in Marseille France and setting out for Swizerland by train in mid-September, travelling around Switzerland by train, meeting up with Edward Feuz while visiting Interlaken, exploring the local towns, architecture, skiing, exploring different ski areas and watching various races and events as they find them [also includes comparisons of slopes and snow conditions between the Alps and the Rockies], meeting other skiers, various dealings with banks, travelling through Austia to Munich Germany in late September-early October, visiting an area in Austria where the Olympics will be held in 1936, visiting museums and war memorials [WWI], attending Oktoberfest in Munich, travelling to Paris via Nuremburg and Cologne by train in early October, exploring Paris and visiting various city landmarks and churches [this was Pete's first trip to Paris], going to the movies, going to London and then Edinburgh with Jean Caird before sailing back to North America from London in mid-October.

- File pertains to 22 hand-written letters written by Catharine Robb Whyte to her mother, Edith Morse Robb from March 2 to July 2, 1938. Topics include skiing and watching skiing events in Switzerland, descriptions of meals, local community events and activities [such as Carnivals], meeting with friends, news pertaining to Hitler's movements in Europe, weather, people and events in Concord, photography, leaving Switzerland in April in order to drive to Norway for the summer [includes driving through Germany, Denmark, and Sweden], descriptions of European roads [particularly the Autobahn] and various road-side amenities, visiting art galleries and museums, going to the movies, various holidays [mostly American], descriptions of ski hills and conditions in Norway, sightseeing, painting/sketching, architecture and buildings, exploring the islands off of Norway's northern coast [mostly by the ferry "Princess Ragnhild"] for a few weeks in late May to early June, camping, leaving Norway for Scotland in late June, and heading for Concord in early July. Also includes postcards.

Some letters are marked with a small x in pencil, indicating where Jon Whyte made notes for use in his project "Catharine Robb Whyte, Peter Whyte: Commemorative Portfolio," originally published in 1981. 104 - 08 contains a list of distances and geographic features between various towns and cities in Germany and Switzerland on the last two pages.
