To the viewer’s immediate right: the back of a climber, the thigh of his right leg, his bent left leg (in the act of climbing up), his left arm bent at the elbow with his hand resting on his brown ice axe. He is wearing a red down-filled parka with the hood up. The jacket has two badges on the upper left arm; the lower, larger badge is black and white and the upper badge is the Canadian flag in red and white. He is also wearing black mitts, brown ski pants, and on the partial view of his left leg and foot, red gaiters, brown boots with red laces and crampons. Ahead of him to the viewer’s left, another man is in the act of climbing, his body is turning to the left and he appears to be looking off in the distance.
