Description: One pair of knitted navy blue mittens with yellow, red and light blue pattern worked in. Hand knit, ladies size. Cuffs are very blue with a single row of small flower like figures around. Hands are evenly covered with the pattern which consists mainly of yellow diamond shapes on the back, and a tweed like pattern using all the colours on the palm. Tip of mittens and thumb is navy blue.

Description: (a) One pair of ski goggles with an adjustable elastic head strap. The lenses are flat, dark and oblong-shaped, surrounded by metal frames. The frames have a line of small holes surrounding them; the smaller ones to let air in to prevent fogging, the the larger ones to clip the lenses in. The lens, viewer’s right, is held in by a wire that is threaded through all of the holes. Also, that lens has an engraving with the name of the manufacturer in script “Secunda”. The lenses are joined by a piece of elastic across the nose portion. (b) A red, white and black lidded Elastoplast metal can that the goggles were stored in. Lid red with “S&N” in a dashed circle.; tin: On red background, front portion: white “Elastoplast TRADE MARK”, black “ELASTIC BANDAGE B.P.C., white “WITH POROUS ADHEVSIVE’ black “BRITISH PATENT NO.7” numbers scratched out, in black “FOR THE MEDICAL PROFESSION”. Dimensions: 8.0 x 14.5 cm

Description: A pair of lightweight ski goggles with two pieces of dark plastic for lenses, enclosed and stitched with a border of taupe-coloured velveteen fabric. This portion is connected to an inner frame of the same fabric, closer to the face, with two pieces of light clear plastic the same shape as the lenses, with cutouts for the eyes, by thread and small pieces of black plastic tubing (0.70cm long); this creates air vents for the face and provides wearing comfort. The side guards are composed of a light metal mesh and they have a piece of black elastic attached to each side which is tied together to keep the goggles on the face.

Description: The bronze modelled by Peter Whyte and cast by Charlie Beil. The bronze ski jumper is in an outstretched position, the skis resting on a sphere 20.0 diameter which stands on a flat circular base, this is all on top of a black wooden base; inscribed into the bronze base is North American Ski Championships. Brass plates nailed on to wooden base indicating Peter Whyte Memorial Trophy and winners.

(a) navy blue, 27.0 x 24.5, handknitted of heavy yarn with narrow, 3.5 cm ribbing at edge and sloping in shape to top with small red pompon. One red and two white lines knitted around above ribbing. (b) plain blue, texture of small squares knitted in wide band at bottom, with small ear flaps and ties of two different lengths, top is gathered with pompon of same material, 30.5 x 22.0), handknitted.
