Description
An abstract block print. The entire print has a speckled, stippling aesthetic to it. What appear to be tree trunks or wooden poles dominate the print. The background of the print is a speckled moss green. There are three of the tree poles vertically upright in the background. They look like pillars with wood grain and narrow to a rounded point at the top. Each pillar/log has a red, dripping spot about 3/4 the way up. In the far background on the right is one pillar that is green and faint. Closer up on the left is another pillar, more brown than green and then appearing closer, left of centre is the tallest pillar of the three. Going horizontally across the bottom of the print is another pillar about 6.4 cm wide, the top and bottom extend off out of frame. It appears there are about 5 colours used with the primary colours green, brown, red, and black. Under the image, written in pencil, on the bottom left corner is the title and edition number, “Silence” “11/12” and on the bottom right the artist signature and year, “Wilfred Lambert /78”.
