Tongue beaded at centre with red cross on orange cross shaped field outlined in blue. Tongue edged with orange bead trim accented with blue. Scalloped edge of flap at ankle edged with blue accented with red, short buckskin thong ties through slits at ends of ankle flap and through tongue in bow above beaded motif. Short two eared fringe tab at each corner of heel. Moccasin body cut from one piece of buckskin to fit shape of foot.

Vamp is decorated with a simple outline five petal flower in yellow with six black dot beads inside it. Edge of vamp highlighted with bright pink and blue beads in pairs. Edge of slipper is trimmed in darker buckskin with little beads in couples of red and green all the way around.

Description
Two Parks Canada Mountain Guide badges, one (a) from 1978-79, the other (b) from 1979-80. The badges are similar in that they are the same size and shape, rectangular with rounded corners, plastic coated fronts and metal backs with a horizontal pin set, safety-pin type of clasp with a u-type closure for the pin. Instead of being soldered to the back, the pin is inserted through and under the backing through two holes.(a) is navy blue (lettering, imaging and numbers) on white background, Parks Canada logo of left bar of Canadian flag and maple leaf in lhc, “Parks Canada” in the middle, “Parcs Canada” rhc. The following words, letters in quotes are directly below each other and centred: “MOUNTAIN” with “GUIDE” in bold underneath, then “DE MONTAGNE”, then number “275”, followed by “1978-79”. “MADE IN CANADA” and “FAIT AU CANADA” have been folded so that they appear on the side.(b) is forest green (lettering, imaging and numbers) on white background, Parks Canada logo of left bar of Canadian flag and maple leaf in top left “Parks Canada” in the middle, “Parcs Canada” on the right; these are top centred on the badge. The following words, letters in quotes are directly below each other and centred: “GUIDE” in bold then in parenthesis “MOUNTAIN - MONTAGNE”, then number “233”, followed by “1979-80”. “Made in Canada” and “Fait au Canada” have been folded so that they appear on the side.
