Peter Tonge was a foreman and was brought over from England to work on the construction of the Banff Springs Hotel. Peter Tonge brought Alice Perry over from England and they married in Banff, January 29, 1888. Shortly after they moved to Port Arthur, Ontario where they both died in 1929.

History / Biographical
Noel Odell (1890 - 1987) was a geologist and mountaineer. Noel was born and educated in England, and became an avid climber in the United Kingdom, joining the Alpine Club in 1916. Noel is known primarily for his involvement in the 1924 Everest expedition, during which two climbers, Andrew Irvine and George Mallory, died during their summit attempt. In 1936, Noel and fellow climber Bill Tilman summited Nanda Devi in India, which at the time was the highest completed summit in the world. Noel served with the Royal Engineers in World War I and II, worked as a petroleum and mining consultant, and taught geology at various universities around the world.
