The business consisted of several overnight or short-term rental cabins located near Maud and Forest's home near the corner of Wolf and Muskrat Street in Banff. The Kidney Kabins business was closed when Maud and Forest Kidney sold the property it was on in 1953.

Content pertains mostly to natural landscapes, plants, wildlife, mountain scenes, etc. in the Canadian Rockies. Other photographs pertain to 1912 Banff Midgets hockey team, RCMP officers, Jack Kidney and friends [ca. 1935], Freddie Hare visiting Forest Kidney at Mineral Springs Hospital in 1978, an ice sculpture by Charlie Beil outside of the Mount Royal Hotel, an early elementary school class photograph [ca. 1900?], and Fred Woodworth's World War I memorial in Ypres.

- History / Biographical
- Charles William "Bill" Stenton (September 24, 1914 - October 23, 1987) was born and raised in Banff. Bill later married Maria Anne Fernuik (September 10, 1915 - July 21, 2002), who in 1952 began collecting curios in the couple's home. The following year, Bill and Maria opened their first business in Banff, called BJ Novelty; the couple later opened another Banff business, BJ's Fabrics. Bill and Maria are both buried in the Banff Town Cemetery.

Includes photographs of bears, waterfalls and trees in Banff National Park and area including Crowfoot Glacier; construction work, including the building of the Icefields Parkway, ca. 1931; track and field events held outside of the Banff Springs Hotel; a parade held in Banff with unidentified Indigenous men on horseback [possibly Stoney Nakoda community members participating in Banff Indian Day celebrations] outside the Quaker Coffee Shop; skiers at the Sunshine Ski Lodge; members of the Banff Girls' Sunshine Flower Club and a float made by the group for a Christmas parade in 1935; front and side views of the Kidney family home in Banff; and the Sulphur Mountain summit observatory.
