Description: View of Lake Louise from the west side of the lake. In the bottom right corner is a path that leads to a treed area. The trees’ leaves are yellow. A rocky outcrop juts out into the lake. The east bank of the lake is visible on the left side of the image. The lake is dark grey/brown and extends out from the bottom left corner. Mt. Lefroy is seen just past the rocky outcrop in the centre of the image. The sky is white and yellow. The entire drawing is quite dark in tones of yellow and brown.

He is sitting on a push foot stool that has a salmon-coloured throw over it. In the background behind the boy is a black and white cowhide hanging on the wall. There is a black chalk line border, 33 x 23 cm, around the drawing. the artist signature and date are in the bottom left hand corner, “DORIS CORMIE 8/23/33”.

The large, grey dam has white water rushing through on the viewer’s right. On the same side of the drawing, extending out of frame, is a large brown rock with yellow and orange highlites. In the foreground is blue water with white highlites. The artist signature is written in the bottom right corner in pencil. Au verso, written in very faint pencil in the top right corner is, “Doris Cormie 23 Aug 1933”.
