Upper rim is green outlined with a shakey black scalloped line. (c) sides have a roughly drawn chicken eating and three with large flowers on a white background, bottom of base is green. - Five bowls: Hand thrown, trimmed foot, deep bowl with rounded lower portion rising to indentation then a flared upper portion. Grey slip with multi coloured enamel pine tree bamboo plum decoration on outside, with gold lustre accents. Inside rim geometric enamel and gold lustre trim. Bowl crackled throughout and outside reveals wheel ridges. Bowls (a) and (b) in good condition and were mended with low-fire gold enamel; (c) and (e) all have minor rim chips but otherwise good. Bowl (e) was repaired at rim and refired.

Each basket has thick strips of red and green painted wood around where the lid and bottom meet as well as around the foot. The tops have also been lightly painted red in places but this has mostly come off. Basket (a) has gold foil woven into the top and a more ornate top than the others and (b) has the centre of the lid painted red. The interior of (a) is lined with a thicker chevron pattern, (b) and (c) are unlined. A white label with red lettering that reads “PRODUCED IN CHINA” is attached to the lid of (a)
