Description: A white paper card with a circular-shaped cutout window that displays a piece of woven wool with blue and silver metallic thread weft and a white cotton warp. Above the cutout is a painted tree branch in brown with blue and silver needles and a silver bulb suspension attached to the circle which represents a Christmas bulb ornament. The paper is folded in three parts. The first piece is folded over and glued; it encases the piece of woven fabric that appears as the circular shape on the front. When the card is opened, on viewer’s right, there is a printed greeting in blue ink “Merry Christmas” and in black ink “And Best Wishes for a very happy New Year Love, Eileen & Bob Hett”. On the back printed in pencil “EILEEN HETT” and underneath ”E14-#10-92”

Description: A white paper card with a vertical cutout window that displays a piece of dark blue and white cotton weaving that represents a snowflake. The paper is folded in three parts. The first piece is folded over and glued; it encases the piece of woven fabric that appears as the vertical shape on the front. When the card is opened, on viewer’s right, there is a printed greeting in blue ink “Merry Christmas” and in blue ball-point pen ink script “Love, Eileen & Bob Hett”. In writing viewer’s left, “Dear Mary, I hope you are feeling well, and will be able to be home for Christmas. The pattern on the card is from a recent issue of Weavers’. There are 6 versions of stars and snowflakes and I had fun playing. It was woven on my lovely Mary Andrews loom. Best wishes to you for the New Year.” On the back printed in pencil “EILEEN HETT” and underneath ”E14-#8 - 90”

Description: An off-white card with an oval-shaped cutout window that displays a piece of weaving of dark blue and gold metallic thread, depicting a star. The paper is folded in three parts. The first piece is folded over and glued; it encases the rectangular piece of woven fabric that appears as an oval shape on the front. The card is glued together so that the writing inside cannot be read. Au verso, where the surface of the paper is not torn off “all woven and we are in the process of putting together a drafts. It slow would book is read send you a copy Have a Very Happy New Year”, and underneath it is signed in longhand, with a ball-point pen “Eileen and Bob Hett”. On top of the writing and loss of surface paper, printed in pencil “E14 - #2 - 84”

Description: An off-white card with an oval-shaped cutout window that displays a piece of red and white cotton weaving. The top three designs are woven with white thread and resemble chain loops; the four middle designs are woven with white thread into elongated diamond shapes; and the bottom three designs, done in white thread, are a repeat of the top three, and resemble chain loops. The paper is folded in three parts. The first piece is folded over and glued; it encases the rectangular piece of woven fabric that appears as an oval shape on the front. There is a light grey ring (0.20cm) 0.50cm from the cutout area. When the card is opened, on viewer’s right, there is a calligraphic script greeting of “Merry Christmas”, and underneath it is signed in longhand, with a ball-point pen “Eileen and Bob Hett”. On the viewer’s left written in longhand with a ball-point pen: “Hello Mary, Our guild has had a traumatic few months. In July we were notified by the city that we had to vacate our home - because the roof was about to collapse. And the worse news was that, since the city archives wanted our space we couldn’t return once repairs were made. In this economy there is nothing large enough for us and our” it continues on the back of the card “equipment that we can afford. The result is that the study groups and classes are spread all over the city. We have recently found two possibilities - and everyone has their fingers crossed.”

There is a light sand/beige ring around the opening (0.20cm) 0.50cm from the cutout area. When the card is opened, on viewer’s right, there is a calligraphic printed greeting of “Merry Christmas and a Very Happy New Year”, and underneath it is signed in longhand, with a ball-point pen “Eileen and Bob Hett”. On the viewer’s left, written in longhand with a ball-point pen: “Hello Mary, The card is an advancing twill, the result of a study our More than 4 group did last year. This year we chose one profile, and we are all weaving samples using different weave structures. I’m doing a 8 shaft boulevard. Hope you are well.”
