Description
Composite material consisting of a base and enamel ware chamber pot. The base is not wood and is particle board that has been finished with a coat of varnish on the surface. The chamber pot contains a handle on the viewer right side. Attached to the wooden base is a plaque with inscriptions that read as follows: “PRESENTED TO NICK MORANT ON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT APRIL 22, 1981” and “SO YOU WONDERED WHERE ALL THOSE GOOD IDEAS WENT…?” in script style writing. The plaque is not a heavy metal inscribed plaque, but simply a metal foil with printed text. The bottom of the base does not reveal any fixtures that would have been used to affix the metal pot to the base suggesting that is has been glued or adhered. Three holes have been drilled on the bottom of the base in the top viewer right corner and the bottom left and right corners. It is unclear as to why this has been done.
