- George Browne (1918-1958) was the youngest child of artist Belmore Browne (1881-1954) and writer Agnes Evelyn (Sibley) Browne (1882-1976). George's parents purchased a summer home in Banff in 1921, and throughout his childhood George travelled across Canada and the United States, spending much of this time camping and hiking in the Canadian Rockies where his father drew inspiration for his wildlife and landscape art. George first began to develop his drawing and painting skills as a child and young adult by learning from his father. George attended the California School of Fine Arts for five years from the age of 15, before being drafted into the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II. George continued to paint during and after his military service, and from 1947 George dedicated most of his time to his art. George Married Isabel "Tibby" Magregor in 1948, and the couple moved to a cabin in the Canadian Rockies shortly afterwards where they had two children. In his spare time, George was an avid hunter and outdoorsman and went on numerous duck-hunting trips with his dog, an Irish Setter named Kelly O'Toole. George died during a hunting accident in 1958.

Album contains photographs of 22 wildlife paintings by Browne, mostly depicting geese, ducks, grouse and other wildlife. Photographs are individually captioned underneath with the painting's title and dimensions. Album also includes one photograph of George's dog, Kelly, posing with a duck.

- Harry Pollard (1880 - 1968) was a famous photographer in Western Canada, who was notable for his photography of Canadian Indigenous peoples and cultures. From the Provincial Archives of Alberta: "In 1924 the Associated Screen News, a subsidiary of the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR), hired [Harry] Pollard to photograph their global ocean cruises for promotional purposes. It was this job that took him around the world 14 times".

- One photograph album containing 111 b&w photographs. Content pertains to a July-August 1943 trip with Trail Riders of the Canadian Rockies which included multiple locations: Banff, Canmore, Spray Lakes, Wonder Pass, Mount Assiniboine, Simpson Summit, Larix Lake, Citadel Pass and Healy Creek. Second half of album pertains to Sky Line Hike Camp trip through Goat Creek and Spray River in August, 1943. Photographs depict group shots of riders on horseback and individuals hiking, swimming, scenic views of mountains, lakes, etc., portraits/individual shots of trip attendees, and views of teepees and campsites. Album also contains 3 newspaper clippings with articles related to trips, Trail Riders ticket for Miss Jeanne Nelson (July 30th - August 3rd, 1943) and 2 small booklets (one pertaining to each of two trips depicted in album). Pamphlet for Trail Riders packing trip is covered in signatures of trip attendees. Photos depict individuals including Carl Rungius, Jeanne Nelson, Wilf Bennett, Jean Stewart, and Peggy Robinson.
