- A quirt with a wood handle covered with braided leather and with a braided knot at one end. There is a silver ring on the shaft marked with the monogram “P.B.M.”, hallmarks, and “E.S.A.” There is a wrist strap at theother end which is bound with linen thread.

- Tapered round wooden handle with holes drilled through at each end and an illegible stamp at the thick end. The narrow end has a leather thong strap tied through the hole, and the thick end has a commercial leather strip threaded through the hole, woven through itself, and tapering to two points.

- Two leather pouches joined together by a band of leather which tapers and becomes narrow at the centre where it would be draped over a saddle. The pouches have leather flaps, each with three straps of leather threaded through and buckling to the bag. The joining strap has a metal reinforced slit on either side just above the pouches and a hole through its centre for anchoring. Rings on the back of each pouch attach it to the saddle. The centre strap is marked “F86.”
