The front of the spoon has, in relief: a head surrounded by a laurel leaf wreath on the tip of the handle, underneath that “WORLD’S COLUMBIA EXPOSITION”, Maritime emblems on the handle, and a ship at sea on the bowl. On the back, on the tip of the handle, is a circle of laurel leaves, inside the wreath a king wearing a crown, below crossed swords, underneath that a globe with “1492 1893”, below that a circle with “ THE WORLD’S COLUMBIA EXPOSITION SEAL CHICAGO, ILLINOIS”, under that “STERLING”.

- Please note: language pertaining to Indigenous Peoples, people of colour, and those of the Jewish faith used throughout is outdated and offensive. Some items were stapled together and therefore scanned together as one document. Letters are all handwritten and include some hotel and camp letterheads. Some letters are marked with a small x in pencil, indicating where Jon Whyte made notes for use in his project "Catharine Robb Whyte, Peter Whyte: Commemorative Portfolio," originally published in 1981. Some letters also have numbers written in pencil crayon, believed to be from when originally processed.

- Combination of three drawer, three cupboard sideboard with attached hutch enclosing three full length shelves which each have a plate rail. Quarter-round at top edge of hutch on three sides. Back wall of hutch vertical planks, as are the end walls with nails. Sideboard contains vertical plank back wall also, and the other approx. two-thirds width and length. Open frame at base reveals floor, vertical plank doors. Doors held closed by wooden swivels. Wrought iron hinges, wooden drawer handles.
