- The Luxton house at 206 Beaver Street was built circa 1905 and was home to Banff's Luxton family for 90 years. On the death of Eleanor Luxton in 1995, ownership of the home passed to the newly created Eleanor Luxton Historical Foundation. The Foundation now manages the property, as well as its neighbouring historic homes, Tanglewood and Beaver Lodge. The Luxton Home is an accredited museum.

The film was directed by Robert Altman and co-written by Robert Altman and Alan Rudolph. Key stars in the film include Paul Newman (Buffalo Bill), Frank Kaquitts (Sitting Bull), Joel Grey (The Producer), and Kevin McCarthy (The Publicist). Other actors include Harvey Keitel, Allan F. Nicholls, Geraldine Chaplin, John Considine, Fred N. Larsen, Pat McCormick and Burt Lancaster. Content pertains to various railway scenes: one image of a steam train taken close-up with black tape secured around the edges; one image of a train turning a corner with a mountain in the background, in a gold-painted frame with an engraved border design; and 2 steam-pressed photographs on cork bases (one depicting a b&w photograph taken by Nicholas Morant in 1938 of a train at a set of signal lights with a forest, mountains and lake in the background, and one depicting a colour image of a train travelling through a rocky pass in the early morning (?) with a body of water on its left). Also consists of one b&w portrait of Nicholas Morant as a teenager, dressed formally, with a grey metal frame and raised 'bubble-shaped' glass front.
- Notes
- Item V500 / III / D / 4 / PC - 3 is very similar to a photograph by Ivy 'Willie' Morant (print labelled and stored as V500 / I / C1 / 6 / PA - 28 ).

- Some photographs in this file may be subject to copyright ownership by the Canadian Pacific company, and some were likely used for professional purposes at some point. However, these specific copies have been categorized as 'personal' rather than professional as they were kept by Nicholas Morant for personal use. All prints in this file were originally in frames, and were removed for storage and conservation reasons. Frames for items PA - 20, PA - 22 and PA - 23 were each labelled with the number '4827' on the back. The frame from PA - 23 also had an attached label which read as follows: "Hudson's Bay Company ART DEPARTMENT 4827 Winnipeg"
