Green black yellow border decoration at base and scrolled yellow border at rim. Domed lid which has previously been mended with two staples. Lid decoration geometric flower, and lid sits over jar rim. Calligraphy on jar base and calligraphy label inside lid. The lid would have been repaired after all firing was completed and label affixed at same time.

Natural light coloured background with reddish double triangles spaced around in two rows forming a diagonal pattern with a chequered brown and black bar beneath each triangle. A row of single similar triangles beneath complete the diagonal pattern. Base has four small reddish triangles radiating from the centre of the coil, pattern carried through to inside of basket. Note: 4.0 cm piece of top coil broken off and wrapping fraying in places.

Large, bowl shaped twist weave basket, ribs protrude .2 -.3 cm. from final row of stitching. Stitching accomplised by two strands twisted around each rib, three separate rows are woven with one stitch around two ribs, possibly to give basket greater stability as well as provide variety in texture. Ten rows of dark brown geometric designs contrast the light brown plant fiber background, these panels appear to be made from bark. Ribs meet at center bottom and rise to a slight rounded point on inside. 3.5 cm. diameter in center is reinforced by overlapping stitches binding three ribs each. Marks: on tag attached to rim "Poma B43115 55.00".
