May 8 Battleford engagement with Poundmaker and Big Bear and discussion of the wounded from the Fish Creek fight. May 10 passed site of Fish Creek Battle and was shot in shoulder. May 12 discussion of Battle of Batoche. May 15 Riel taken prisoner and discussion of “half breeds.” June 3 short description of Battle of Loon Lake. Returned home July 20 and continues with office work, correspondence and financial matters. M546 / 2 : Includes travel to/from Calgary, Winnipeg. Camp preparations. Notations of climbs, measurements and/or distances. Throughout December work on irrigation map. Documentation of day to day activities, office work, correspondence, leisure.
