NICHOLAS MORANT written in white along the narrow top edge on either side of carrying handle, TR1 written in yellow paint in the top left end of narrow edge and in top right corner of opening side, the torn remains on a Canadian Pacific Railway label remains on the side that does not open. Tripod: Manufacturer mark on metal support below the camera support base reads [D]INEMA EQUIPMENT CO. No manufacturer details available online. Tripod dimensions are 124.1x14.7x14.7 cm. The legs of the tripod are wood, with metal spikes at the bottoms, metal brackets, and a metal camera support rig [possibly cast iron]. Attached to the handle is a leather travel tag with a clear plastic window - visible through the window is a white card that reads “NICHOLAS MORANT BOX 1288 BANFF, ALBERTA CANADA” typed in purple ink. Throughout the exterior are faded and torn travel stickers/labels, yellow spray painted stencilled “TR5” twice on the lid and on two sides, as well as “NICHOLAS MORANT” stencilled on the lid in white. Throughout the exterior of the case are three faded and worn red and white “FRAGILE CANADIAN PACIFIC EXPRESS” stickers - one on the lid and one on both the front and back - and a Canadian Pacific Railway “DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC RELATIONS” label with a very faded stamp with Morant’s details. Also on the lid is a gold and red sticker is in the left corner with the case’s manufacturer name - no information about “G.R. TAYLOR & CO.” could be found online.The interior of the case is lined with purple fabric and only contains a small white fabric bag with what feels like rice inside, sealed shut.
