The scale has been inscribed on the inside of the measuring jug and contains both ounces and cubic centimeters or milliliters symbolized by “c.c.” The scale representing ounces begins at 2 ounces and increases in 2 ounce increments to 24 ounces. The cubic centimeter scale begins at 100 c.c. and increases in increments of 100 c.c. to 700 c.c. and then by 50 c.c. more to 750. The bottom of the measuring jug has an inscription that reads: “Vollrath” in cursive writing followed by “STAINLESS STEEL WARE” “8324” all in upper case letters. Vollrath is a manufacturer of stainless steel and aluminum parts and products for food service and custom uses.

Bark forms frame around scar baring wood of the tree and bearing the deeply carved letters, plaque behind is single, thick plank of wood, beveled along the edges in a wide (3.7) band. Band textured with a pattern of fingertip depressions, tree blaze cut off square at top and bottom, but curves back into plaque at sides. Back of plaque reveals it is actually two planks skillfully joined, with 3 small knotholes, and 2 holes drilled through at opposite,diagonal corners holding deeply set screws which attach the blaze. At centre top is small, metal mounting plate with upside-down keyhole, and hole drilled through wood behind (for hanging plaque) front of plaque and bark of blaze have been shellacked, penciled mounting plate, "T".

- (a) A dark gold-coloured pin contained in its original paper jeweller’s box (b). The round pin has with an outer rim with lettering and an inner circle which is divided into four segments by a pair of crossed skis and an ice axe with a trailing cord. The top section, clockwise, features the embossed head of a moose whose horns extend to the rim of the pin face; a maple leaf, a blue and red enamelled Union Jack; and a bear’s head. The outer rim has a dot on the middle bottom followed by: clockwise, “THE SKI CLUB OF THE”, 3 dots between moose’s horns, “CANADIAN ROCKIES”. A scrolled rim extending from the bottom of the circular pin face about one-third of the circumference has these words in Latin: “PER ARDUA AD MONTES”, roughly translated ‘through difficulties to the mountains’. The back of the pin has a pin set soldered on one-third from the top; one horizontal long-hinged pin rivetted at one end and fastened at the other by a swivel-locking safety clasp. (b) A square (3.8x3.8) red paper box filled with cotton batting. The top of the box has, in gold-coloured engraved script, “Cartier Ltd.” and printed underneath “LONDON”.

- A pair of brown leather, over-ankle, square-toed, unlined ski touring boots, with thick rubber soles (1.30cm on the sole, 2.50cm on the heel), a grooved heel for a cable, and seven grommeted eyelets with yellow and brown laces. There are straps sewn on both sides of the boots; one with a buckle and one with holes; a leather loop pull-off on the back of the heel and boots have felt sole liners. There is a white label with blue lettering on the tongue, right boot “PIONEER by Daoust” (in script). Also on the outside ankles, viewer’s left, left boot (b) and viewer’s right of right boot (a), above the ankle, is the number “9” handwritten in black indelible ink, also written on the tongue “9” on the left boot and above the label on the right boot. On the stitched and nailed soles, near the toe, a “9” is imprinted in the rubber and then circled in black pen ink, and on the heel an imprint of a coniferous tree with SK in the middle and underneath “MADE IN CANADA”.

A leather strap loop is nailed to the top, centered so loop extends past frame edge. The glass pane and photograph of each window is kept in place with two nails (one nailed into top edge, one nailed into bottom edge).
