- Description
- A narrow black wool hat with straight sides and a crease in the crown. The hat is bound with taffeta around the edge, and has knitted regimental colours (navy blue, red, white) in a chequered pattern in a strip above the band. The hat has a metal crest, on the left side of the hat, in the shape of an open wreath with a crown and a stag's head in the centre. The crest bears the motto “By Dand”, the motto of the Clan Gordon. The hat has streamers attached to the back, and a small red pom-pom on top.
