Underneath this, there is the text: “ENCRE WATERMAN”; “50 ml MADE IN FRANCE” in black ink.On the bottom of the inkwell there is raised text in the glass which reads: “WATERMAN MADE IN FRANCE APPROX 2 OZ”. There is also a “10” apparent, near the middle of the viewer-right side. (b) The inkwell has a black, plastic, screw-on lid.

The desk is supported by two richly carved legs depicting acanthus leaves, terminating in brass casters. It’s flanked by a pair of brass candle holders. Below the working surface are a pair of fielded flamed mahogany doors with brass accents which enclose a storage area. The upper portion features a bookcase with a pair of glazed doors with brass accents. This mahogany secretary features numerous decorative elements including gilt mounts, brass ornamentations, detailed carvings, flamed mahogany panels and an overall exhibition of superior craftsmanship.
