Topics include day to day life, Banff events, visits from friends, painting, photography, wildlife, travel, camping, weather, events and people in Concord, seeing the musical My Fair Lady at the Jubilee Auditorium in Calgary (Sept. 21), driving out to the Panther Valley with Warden Peter Tasker (Oct. 16), Carl Rungius' death (October), a trip to Concord in early November [just Catharine], construction on the back of the house, a second trip to Concord for Christmas and New Years followed immediately by a two-month trip to the West Indies [Catharine and Peter]. Letters are mostly typed, some hand-written. Also includes two postcards making up one letter.

Includes shots of construction crews levelling the ground, machines moving earth, explosives, paving, bridges, men in a lab conduction experiments, and some shots of nearby wildlife and scenic views. NF - 28b is a copy of NF- 28a. Also includes two documents: two copies of a press release for the film, produced by the National Film Board. The original label on the case reads "Title: Construction, Trans Canada Hgw, Camera B. Engler NFB, Date: 1956, Footage: 200 Time 5 minutes."

The album pertains to a 1917 ACC trip throughout the Rocky Mountains in British Columbia, including the Field, Lake O'Hara, Assiniboine, and Glacier areas, and includes black and white photographs, all of which are numbered. A bound-edge flip-book style album, it is tied together with a black string and has a faded gilt "Photographs" embossed in the top left corner of the front cover.
